Smart speakers are still a relatively new technology even though voice recognition and voice control are widely used by consumers on their smartphones and in their cars. But smart speakers and similar tech are poised to change how consumers interact with a wide variety of providers, devices and content in their home.
Among current users of voice control, this study will explore which devices they own/use, voice control technology embedded into other devices, and the use cases and satisfaction for voice recognition. Among non-users, we’ll evaluate awareness of and plans to adopt voice tech, awareness of particular platforms and brands, and which features or use cases they find most attractive.
Online survey with 2,512 U.S. consumers age 16-74.
